We're partnering with a school in Jasper County, Indiana to hire dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant supports students in developing the functional, motor, sensory, and daily living skills needed for success in the educational environment. Working under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, this role helps students access their education, increase independence, and achieve individualized goals that support academic and social participation.

Position Details:
Start Date: August 3, 2026
End Date: May 28, 2027
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Grade Levels: PreK-12
Location: In Person, Full-time schedule
School Year: 2026/2027

Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to students under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans and interventions designed to support students' educational goals.
  • Assist students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, visual-motor, and functional classroom participation skills.
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate therapy records in accordance with district, state, and federal requirements.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers to support student success.
  • Prepare and organize therapy materials, equipment, and learning environments.
  • Monitor student performance and communicate progress, concerns, and recommendations to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions as appropriate.
  • Maintain compliance with school policies, professional standards, and applicable regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential and active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Indiana.
  • Experience working with children or students in educational, pediatric, or clinical settings preferred.
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Ability to follow treatment plans developed by a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with FERPA and other applicable regulations.
  • Commitment to supporting diverse learners and fostering positive student outcomes.
