Onward Search Education is a specialized education staffing and talent solutions company that helps educators, therapists, and school health professionals find rewarding opportunities with school districts nationwide. We're currently partnering with school districts in Macomb County, Michigan to support multiple school-based School Social Worker openings for the 2026-2027 school year.

This role supports elementary populations, with K-12 exposure across public and charter school settings.

Role Overview

This position supports students through direct services, consultation, and collaboration to promote academic success, emotional well-being, and positive school engagement.

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing individual and group counseling support to students
• Supporting IEP and MTSS processes, including evaluations and documentation
• Assisting with BIPs, crisis intervention, and SEL initiatives
• Conducting psychosocial assessments and collaborating on intervention planning
• Partnering with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
• Supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioral growth

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work
• Active LLMSW
• Valid Michigan Preliminary School Social Worker Certificate
• Experience supporting elementary populations preferred
• Strong skills in collaboration, documentation, and family engagement
