We are currently partnering with an excellent district in Cook County, IL searching for compassionate full-time and part-time Speech Language Pathologists for the 2026-2027 school year.

In this role, you will provide part-time speech and language services in a school-based settings to students of all ages. This role offers the opportunity to support students' communication development and social-emotional growth through individualized, student-centered interventions in collaboration with a student-centered team.

Position Details:

• Location: In-person (no hybrid or remote options available) in Cook County, IL
• Schedule: Full time or part-time hours available, between Monday and Friday
• Guaranteed Hours: Between 20-40 hours per week
• Grade Levels: Various, K-12
• Start Date: August 2026
• End Date: May 2027

Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted speech and language therapy services for K-12 students to support access to the curriculum and school participation.

• Assess, identify, and treat speech, language, social communication, and pragmatic needs (including articulation, fluency, voice, and language-based learning skills) to support academic achievement and functional communication across school settings.

• Collaborate with educators, families/guardians, and multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and progress-monitor IEP goals and service plans aligned to educational impact and classroom expectations.

• Conduct initial evaluations, reevaluations, and ongoing data collection/progress monitoring to guide intervention, determine eligibility as needed, and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements.

• Provide individual and/or group therapy using evidence-based approaches; consult with staff to embed communication strategies into classroom routines and instruction.

• Support students who use AAC and other assistive technology by recommending tools as appropriate and partnering with staff/families to promote consistent use across environments.

• Maintain accurate, timely documentation (service logs, session notes, progress reports, evaluation reports) and participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and professional development focused on school-based best practices.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; CFY candidates may be considered.

• Speech Language Pathology License in the state of Illinois.

• Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Language Pathology endorsement in the state of Illinois.

• Previous school-based or pediatric experience.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
