We are currently partnering with an excellent district in Cook County, IL searching for compassionate full-time and part-time Speech Language Pathologists for the 2026-2027 school year.
In this role, you will provide part-time speech and language services in a school-based settings to students of all ages. This role offers the opportunity to support students' communication development and social-emotional growth through individualized, student-centered interventions in collaboration with a student-centered team.
Position Details:
- Location: In-person (no hybrid or remote options available) in Cook County, IL
- Schedule: Full time or part-time hours available, between Monday and Friday
- Guaranteed Hours: Between 20-40 hours per week
- Grade Levels: Various, K-12
- Start Date: August 2026
- End Date: May 2027
Responsibilities:

Provide targeted speech and language therapy services for K-12 students to support access to the curriculum and school participation.

Assess, identify, and treat speech, language, social communication, and pragmatic needs (including articulation, fluency, voice, and language-based learning skills) to support academic achievement and functional communication across school settings.

Collaborate with educators, families/guardians, and multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and progress-monitor IEP goals and service plans aligned to educational impact and classroom expectations.

Conduct initial evaluations, reevaluations, and ongoing data collection/progress monitoring to guide intervention, determine eligibility as needed, and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements.

Provide individual and/or group therapy using evidence-based approaches; consult with staff to embed communication strategies into classroom routines and instruction.

Support students who use AAC and other assistive technology by recommending tools as appropriate and partnering with staff/families to promote consistent use across environments.

Maintain accurate, timely documentation (service logs, session notes, progress reports, evaluation reports) and participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and professional development focused on school-based best practices.
Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; CFY candidates may be considered.

Speech Language Pathology License in the state of Illinois.

Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Language Pathology endorsement in the state of Illinois.

Previous school-based or pediatric experience.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.
