We're partnering with a school partner in Maricopa County, Arizona to hire a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an on-site school-based assignment supporting students across grades 4-12.
This is a full-time opportunity focused on helping students build the communication and language skills they need to access instruction, participate socially, and thrive at school.
Position Details:
- Role: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Grade Levels: 4-12
- Location: Maricopa County, AZ (on-site; no hybrid/tele-therapy)
- School Year: 2026/2027
- Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to identify speech, language, social communication, and related needs using appropriate screenings and standardized assessments.
- Develop and implement IEP goals and service plans aligned to student needs and campus expectations.
- Provide direct therapy and instructional support (individual and small group) targeting areas such as articulation, expressive/receptive language, fluency, voice, and pragmatics.
- Support students who use AAC and collaborate on effective implementation across settings as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team members to integrate communication strategies into classroom routines and instruction.
- Document services, progress, and compliance-related notes in alignment with state/federal requirements and school procedures.
- Participate in meetings and progress monitoring to ensure services are effective and adjusted as student needs evolve.
Qualifications:
- Arizona SLP License (required).
- School-based experience supporting students in special education settings (preferred).
- Strong assessment skills and ability to translate results into practical, measurable goals.
- Ability to deliver therapy in a fast-paced campus setting and collaborate effectively with school teams.
- Comfort supporting a range of student needs, including language-based learning impacts and social communication goals.
