We're currently partnering with a school district in Lake County, IL to hire a full-time, school-based Occupational Therapist (OT) for the 2026-2027 school year. This role supports students across a K-12 setting and offers a collaborative, student-centered environment.
Position Details
- Location: Onsite | Lake County, IL
- Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week | Monday-Friday
- School Year: 2026-2027
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services in accordance with students' IEPs
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Support fine motor, sensory processing, self-regulation, and functional life skills development
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) License.
- Experience providing OT services in a school or pediatric setting.
- Strong understanding of sensory integration, fine motor development, and adaptive strategies for learning environments.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Dedication to supporting students' growth, confidence, and independence.
