We're partnering with a school district in Lake County, Illinois to hire a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026-2027 school year.
You'll provide school-based speech and language services to support students' communication, language, and social skills--collaborating with educators and support teams to help students access learning and succeed throughout the school day.
Position Details:
- Location: In person (On-site)
- Hours: 7.5 hours/day
- Schedule: Full-time (school calendar)
- Weekly Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to identify speech, language, and communication needs
- Provide speech/language therapy services aligned to student goals and service plans (IEPs/504s as applicable)
- Support students with articulation, expressive/receptive language, fluency, voice, and social communication needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service teams to support carryover into the classroom
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to student progress monitoring/documentation
- Maintain compliant documentation and service records per school and state requirements
Qualifications:
- Illinois licensure (IDFPR) required
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- School-based experience preferred
- Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work fully on-site (no virtual/remote)
